The Russian based security firm ElcomSoft is claiming to be able to crack WPA2 Personal wireless authentication security in a matter of weeks rather than years. According to their press release, they’ve employed purpose-written software which is powered with a backend of clustered, commodity-grade NVIDIA GPUs.

This all sounds rather alarming at face value. But how effective would their methods be in real-life application? Read on for my dissection of this development.

It uses the Gears Geolocation API to detect your location, and then shows search results in that location.
This service is now available for the US and the UK. Just go to google.com with a mobile device, and choose the option ‘My Location’.

The first-ever BlackBerry flip phone was announced today at the CITA Wireless trade show by Research in Motion. The BlackBerry Pearl 8220 must be first Blackberry that actually looks pretty nice, well anyway! It features a 128×160 screen, which displays the usually stuff we’ve come to expect from flip phones; Caller ID, message notifications and the much needed clock that might get you to work on time.

Pricing or availability unknown for now!

Sony Errisson have announced the release of their new handset G705. It has a very decent sized screen at 2.4 inch, 3G support (I wonder what that does to battery life?), built-in FM radio (iPhone ahhh!) and pretty good camera at 3.2 megapixel. Personally, I’ve always been a big fan of Sony Ericsson, IMHO their designs are better than Nokia but functionality wise Nokia are ahead, anyway! read on for more information.
